Okay, we know you need convincing. We can practically see you yawning all the way from here. And honestly we understand why. At the moment our database looks small and unimpressive. We have a few alums... a couple of students.

Why would anyone use this site, especially when Facebook and Linkedin exist?

The big reason is:

We can make this site a comprehensive "Aggie Muslim directory" 

We're not really competing with Facebook or Linkedin. Unlike the other two, we're more of a directory... kind of like a "Yellow Pages" for Aggie Muslims. In Facebook and Linkedin everyone has his / her own individual profiles. People find one another by knowing each other in advance or by knowing someone else in between. That's great for connecting with friends or coworkers, but its not so great at connecting you to people you don't already know...the people who might be very useful to know. As the old adage goes: "Its not what you know, it's who you know." If we can get Aggie Muslims to regularly register (and edit their profiles when the time comes), then over time this site would give you access to a loooot more people than you could ever possibly meet on your own.

We will consider the site successful when:

• People looking for employment could come to this site, contact people in their area of specialization, and hopefully find job offers
• People moving to new cities could search the site to find people able to show them the town
• People looking for a professional expert (example: attorney, accountant, etc) could visit the site, check out the table, and get help from our members
• This site becomes the most comprehensive database of Aggie Muslims ever, which shouldn't be hard considering there is no other database of Aggie Muslims at all right now.

In any case... registering on the site takes literally 15 seconds (if you're fast) and two minutes (if you're really slow). Just by doing that, you give others the ability to benefit from your existence.
